Re: Thinking of buying - Is it Win7 64-bit compatible?

I know this is an old post but I thought I would leave an answer for anyone who might be interested.

I've just upgraded my system to Windows 7 64bit running with Cubase 6 and Electric Keys is running perfectly. I haven't noticed any problems so far.

Re: Ultralite MK3 Problems WIN XP (no Motu Device Found)

Sounds like a faulty firewire chip. You need to find a tech that has the tools and is experienced at repairing surface mount electronics. The chip that needs to be replaced is the TI firewire control chip that is located just behind the firewire ports. Unfortunately Motu don't share their schematic ...

Buying a Firewire Express card that has a Texas Instrument chipset should fix your problem. The Sonnet Firewire/USB Express34 card is a good one. http://www.sonnettech.com/product/fwusbexpresscard34.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I had a quick look at your computers sp...

Bill Murray is the best. Ghostbusters, Caddy Shack and There's something about Bob are three of my favorite comedy flicks. My rants are all tongue in cheek. If we can't have a laugh at our own expense then we may as well become a politicians. To anyone truly offended by any of my verbal diarrhea , I...

I'm sold. I to will become an iZombie. I've ordered the mac pro and booked in for the iZombie chip to be inserted in my brain. I'm looking forward to many fun filled hours of trolling windows forums letting them know how their choice in computer and operating systems sucks. Their just Windows users ...

I like this line by FMiguelez "Oh, and let me remind you: MOTUNation is a MOTU-Mac oriented forum. We have this section as a courtesy to Windows users." Spoken like a true iZombie. Normal people would think MOTUNation was for uses of Motu products not just for know it all iZombies like you...

Re: I run flawless Motu setup what about you?

Oh sorry, I'm not calling all mac user zombies, just some. Just the ones who come into the windows forum and are all high and mighty because they use mac's and think it's the best. If you have technical advice related to windows give it. We want technical help not marketing pushed in our face. Stop ...

FMiguelez I just have MUCH better things to do with my time than figuring Windoze out, you know? Like writing music... Perhaps you should try writing some music too instead of trolling around [/quote] So you keep saying. Why aren't you doing it then? Maybe you should practice what you preach! ...

Re: I run flawless Motu setup what about you?

For some people I think a Mac is probably better option for a music computer. If you use Logic, DP7 or Apogee your choice has been made for you. For plug n play I think mac is better and now they use Intel chips they actually have decent performance (the performance of the PPC was pathetic). So if y...

Re: Motu 828mk2 screams a high pitch signal. windows 7 64bit

Disable the mainboard's on board soundcard in BIOS. Also try disabling the adat inputs and outputs on the 828mkII if they are not in use. Are you using the firewire port on the mainboard? If so I would buy a firewire PCI card. Below is a link to a very good one. http://www.pyroav.com/products/PVC-31...

Re: Stability of MOTU USB MIDI interfaces on Windows?

I've been using a MIDI express 128 on windows for five years and never had a problem. It just works. I'm a very happy windows user. I do tech support for mac's as well as windows and from my experience mac OS users have as many problems as windows users. Most windows problem arise from cheap and nas...

Sorry but I'm out of answers. But try it on another computer, what ever you have to do. Making sure the unit isn't faulty is what needs to be cleared up before looking else where.

Re: Ultralite MK3 Hybrid FREEZE + High Pitch whine

Does it behave the same whether your using the the USB or firewire?

Also if you can't find another computer to try it on. Take it to the shop you bought it from and get them to test it on their computer.

Re: Ultralite MK3 Hybrid FREEZE + High Pitch whine

Use a PC then. If it does the same thing on the PC it's faulty and you can take it back to where you bought it and get a replacement. If it works on a PC, get a PC. Their better anyway and cheaper :)

I can sense the hate mail already :)

Re: 828 MK2 Firewire v1.0 MOTU Support Runaround!!

You can software update the 828mkII. You can't download it from Motu's web site but there is one because I have used it. Ask Motu to send it to you.
