Re: Honest Opinion about DP Virtual Synths

I think the VI's in DP sound quite good but I can see how some people would write them off as they are very basic and limited. They should really add the MX4 to DP and call it a day. Just a side note the new synths in Cubase Blow in my opinion but the halion one which I guess is some what similar to...

Re: Notice to the DP bashers

OMG This just sad. I really think you guys are out to lunch when you say people are trying to ruin MOTU's reputation. Clearly people have had many issues with DP. The Mac is a system that just works, you guys know it runs on UNIX, Apple controls all the hardware that goes into the machine. Seriously...

Discovery Mac synth is out

Just thought I would post this if any one missed this. Have not tried it in DP yet but there is a AU. Anyway for 99 bucks its pretty killer. Its kinda of like my Nord G2.

well i won't be having speaker busting problems between 40hz and 50hz as i own a pair of Mackie HR8'24's mkII's and have no such problem. yep! it's just room busting, wall shuddering , tight, deep, articulate bass all the way for me. Don't give me your low down on what phat is Dave, cause you don't...

Yes, David is a master of the craft of sound design, no doubt. Modest too, as he's resisted the temptation of referring to his own work. Well done Dave! FWIW David, I wasn't implicating you on anything you'd said earlier in my last post, but rather, I was responding to the preceding offering of: Yo...

Re: Update!

Hey everyone- Just wanted to give an update... I ended up connecting the external Rocstor drive by itself to my Firewire 800 port and connecting the M-Audio interface by itself to the Firewire 400 port... HUGE, HUGE difference in performance! So far, running my sessions fine without crashes or inte...

Re: Just a request from one who is bewildered

Dear fellow Unicornation members: At least 75% of the "DP6 is busted" posts that I've seen have been unwarranted. Either the poster discovers later that he/she was mistaken, due to either the learning curve, the need to rebuild preferences, discard AU info cache, or mere user error. Some ...

I agree they really need a update. I don't think its going to happen at least anything worth while any way. The only Motu product i am even using even though I own most everything is Mach 5 V2 it at least in general works pretty well. I just cannot believe all the cheerleading on Unicornation when c...

DP performance issues 5.11 and 6

I really like the program but I find the performance to be poor compared to all other audio apps. Beach balls, lots of lag while trying different plugins in real time while playing just a few tracks. I am running a 8 core with 6 gigs of ram. On my Mac Book Pro 2 gig I found DP almost unusable especi...

I think I figured it out. I am running cubase 4 on my octo and mx4 is only audio unit. At least Mach 5 two works as vst.
They really need to put some love into the mx4.

cannot install mx4 on mac pro 8 core

Perhaps this needs an update the last one was years ago. Anyway I had no problem on my macbook.
I installed 2.0 followed by the last version. Everything installs except the application.

Seriously I would not give these guys a ••••ing penny.
Glad you like their product, but this is the only software company that truly puts out bug infested software followed by lots of updates which usually are bug fixes.
One would be better off just burning their money.
