Re: DP and TrapKat ???
Thanks Waxman! I think this set up will handle what I need. Did you have a 10 GB Ethernet connection between your slave and your main computer?

DP and TrapKat ???
Hey, looking to add a TrapKAT to my recording space. Anyone with any experience with one? What I'm looking for is to trigger BFD and at the same time record MIDI notes into DP to "re-amp" the drum parts into something else .. If there is anything else that might be better than a TrapKAT I'...

Re: Video of Magic Dave Teaching DP at Berklee
Anyone know where I can find the Magic Dave at Berklee doing the "101 - Intro to DP" video? GREAT video that a writing partner of mine wanted to see. Berklee has made it only avaiable on their network.. Guess it was getting too many hits. Thanks if you can point me in the right direction. ...

Setting placement of close window
Hello all! This has been bugging me for a while. When I go to close a session in DP my close box is always at the bottom of my screen. Not a huge big deal but I would like for it to be in the center of the screen. Tried different combos placing the box where I wanted it and holding down cmd+enter, o...

Re: Best shaker samples?
A long shot if you have access to one but the old Korg 01/W series has a patch called percussion that has 2 or 3 variations of shakers, good out of the box congas ect.. Good velocities on the samples. Still have that board plugged into my MIDI patch bay, used it a couple of weeks ago for some hand c...

Re: Facts about using DP Live
Another horse in the race is the Muse Receptor. It can host VI's, VST effects, and there is a version that is preloaded with Komplete. You can also hook a monitor, keyboard, mouse up to it if needed.

Might fit the bill a little better than DP.

Clean The Studio.
Was out of town this past weekend and my Sharper Image air cleaners in the studio gave up the ghost. You would not believe the amount of dust that can collect in a few days. Anyways, was wondering what you use to keep your space clean. I've got to do something else since SI went under a few years ba...

Re: How to avoid MIDI rewriting while I compose?
This might be getting a little OT, but about Polar.. A very knowledgable member of our little DP city did a DP 101 video and he touches on Polar. I think this was posted on here somewhere also. http://learningcenter.berklee.edu/event/digital-performer-run-down-presented-dave-roberts Great to check o...

Re: How to avoid MIDI rewriting while I compose?
Don't forget about Polar... I know it doesn't record MIDI.. But sometimes the "feeling" is lost in moving MIDI notes and velocities around. Set loop points and get a fresh take on each pass.

Re: Waves. Heck with them!
I really like how they keep pulling you further under AFTER the WUP... Got an email that whatever my WUP was that I would receive that amount in "vouchers"... Wonder if I could use that voucher, even though it's good for only 45 days, to "WUP early for next year" BTW, V9 gold wor...
