Re: Does the 1.5 update let you see which bank is loaded?

Sadly I've given up on MOTU BPM and bought a Akai Renaissance, the software is already more stable than BPM. I still have love for BPM which still has some better features but if I waited for them to fix the many super basic issues my family would be starving by now.

What a shame.

Re: big CPU use when bpm is in logic

I'm still on Snow Leopard as Logic 9.1.4 is pretty stable on this, BPM however is a horror show; load one bank of 16 sounds onto the BPM [ in Logic ] and within 10 minutes it's game over. My computer doesn't have problems with lots of instances of Nebula though, been waiting too long for an update f...

Re: big CPU use when bpm is in logic

Sorry Motu but your time is up. I have a 8 Core Mac Pro [ very powerful machine ], but when using BPM in Logic 9 I can only do very quick pattern work; if I use it for longer than 3 minutes the CPU meter starts screaming and crackling. Well the sad thing is that Akai Renaissance is coming and if Mot...

Re: Beware using BPM1.5 in Logic 9.1.1, horrible bug...

You go to the Logic app icon in applications folder, hold cmd+i and there's a little tick box that says "open in 32 bit mode".

Actually just tried opening in 32bit and options are still greyed out, will have to ask Apple about that.

I wonder if it's a 'Logic booted in 64bit' issue?

thanks for your reply, unfortunately these options are 'greyed out' for some unknown reason?

Beware using BPM1.5 in Logic 9.1.1, horrible bug...

OK need to warn people about this because I've just lost a days work due to it. Don't know if it's Logic or BPM but if you're using that combination you need to know about this to save tears. When you drag pattern files from BPM as 'audio' to the Logic arrange page, you need to 'bounce' them seperat...

Does the 1.5 update let you see which bank is loaded?

I was never able to find out what bank I had loaded in previous versions, have MOTU managed to fix this 'bug' : ) in 1.5?

Re: no samples in the browser, even after doing the alias th

I found the solution in the end, had to delete all BPM samples and copy the original sounds from the install disk as clean copies.

still a mystery why it went wrong in the first place??

no samples in the browser, even after doing the alias thing?

Can anyone suggest something to try?

I've lost the connection between BPM and it's samples in the browser [ load perfs works ok ], I've redone the alias thing but it still doesn't work?

Re: VI's in Templates

I've just had to re-install a whole new hard drive because my previous [ snow leopard 10.6.3 ] one can't remember it's plugin authorizations. Does anyone have the following bits of kit attached to their computers? Euphonix MC Mix Powercore Firewire or Motu 424 soundcard? Wondering whether these are ...

How do you access BANK B from your MIDI controller?

I'm using PadKontrol [ in logic ] and have no trouble with triggering BANK A but if you click onto BANK B my controller can't find the right MIDI notes?

I've tried transposing in 'MIDI Thru' in logic but neither this nor 'learn MIDI note' seem to work.

any clues?
