Re: In Sequence, how to extend gridlines through a live instrument
Being able to see how the audio relates to the grid WHILE YOU DRAG IT, that is 100% the reason. It's not about a particular goal (like aligning specific things to beats, or quantizing sloppy playing); it's just about what you want to see/reference while you are moving audio, dragging an edge, shift...

Re: iZotope's Website
I set my Native Instruments and iZotope passwords to be the same and now I can log in. Unreal. I'm no IT genius... and maybe Safari references passwords differently, but you can clearly see in my screen capture, it's the iZotope website, but the login request comes from a Native Instruments domain ...

Re: Chunks Window Insanity
BTW, I was wrong about tempo being taken from the lower of overlapping Chunks. It comes from the upper Chunk. The song also has a conductor track, so I wonder how it deals with conflicts. Or is it display only, and shows the conductor contents of the topmost sequence? It’s a bit vague. You can copy...

Re: In Sequence, how to extend gridlines through a live instrument
Thanks for all the help! I am still going to make a request for this feature. I think that it would truly be helpful when editing. Sure, why not, there’s not reason not to have this. Maybe just adding the ability to make the soundbite semi-transparent will do this. But I’m wondering, what is the mu...

Re: Chunks Window Insanity
If I understand, we’re talking about arranging Chunks in the Song window. Not arranging Chunks in the Chunks window. Arranging Chunks in the Chunks window means nothing more than dragging them up and down to change the order, or moving them in and out of folders. Arranging Chunks in the Song window ...

Don’t see this here either . But I do see it in some other apps, so I’m assuming it’s an OS bug,

Soundbite colour bar is a preference in the Editor preferences window.

Re: Weirdness with recording pre-roll
I export too and keep it with templates and other general configuration files like colours, preferences, .midnam files, sysex files, etc.. (Yes, bindings are what the Commands window defines)

Re: Weirdness with recording pre-roll
Never thought of that. I recreate templates and pref with each major update to avoid the corruption problems. That would speed things up a bit.Irimi Nage wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 8:47 pm Thanks, I also don't use the old prefs. I keep screenshots of the prefs window and use it to set everything how I like as quickly as possible.

Re: In Sequence, how to extend gridlines through a live instrument
Not entirely what you’re looking for, but if you turn off the Soundbite Color bar, the beat lines, and tempo missmatch bars extent to the top and bottom of the soundbite. If you have an empty track above or below the track in question, or move the track to the top of the Sequence Editor, it is quite...

Re: Weirdness with recording pre-roll
Can’t hurt. Maybe drag your prefs files to the desktop before the new install so you can put them back in place. If the problem goes away at first, then comes back with your preference files back in place, then you know what happened. Preference file corruptions are not unknown. I’ve even had MOTU s...

Re: Chunks Window Insanity
… and figure out a way to deal with tempo when Sequences overlap in a Song I guess that's the big trick, since the Song object has its own conductor. You take, for example, the end of the first sequence (starting at the point where the new tempo and new sequence starts) and make that into its own c...

Re: bus multiple tracks at the same time?
Sorry, no access to DP at the moment, so going from memory, but doesn’t the Audio Assign command do it?
Or selecting all the tracks holding one of the mod keys (Alt?) and assigning one of them, affects all those selected?

Re: We need a project load dialog
Do you want a load dialog because you’re not confident the project is actually loading? Otherwise, I don’t understand why it matters.
