Force of habit.
Skookum Nicky. I don't usually get more than Bays. It's a neighbourhood here. Near Balaclava, Blenheim, Trafalgar and other empire leftovers.

This from the manual (which is not up to date). There is more here: http://www.i3net.it/FreeDownload/DSP-Quattro/DSP-Quattro_Manual.pdf The function Find Peak and RMS informs you about the Peak level (expressed as absolute value and dB), position (frame and time location) and RMS (Root Mean Square) ...

It was the plug-in itself that caused grief for many, including myself. It eventually became a well known bug, and an almost guaranteed solution to the "crash on quit" phenomenon. I'm not sure why it would work either, bayswater. Perhaps it does prevent iSight functionality. Dunno, I'm ju...

Thanks. That brought me back to earth. No so much the difference between Pro and LE, but that the stuff I'd like in Pro, I have in Quattro.

What, specifically does Peak Pro have or do, for the DP user, that Peak LE doesn't do? I've used Peak LE for years, never felt it was missing anything I needed, even though I get promotional offers every so often to jump up to Peak Pro. Never saw a concrete reason to do it. That's the question. I r...

Yes, I've been thinking about it, a bit soon for me, still figuring out a few basic things. But I'll probably do a first take over the next week.

Peak Pro 5.2 for $199?

I just received an offer for an upgrade from Peak LE 4 which I got for a song, to Pro 5.2 for $199. I use Quattro DSP for 2 track stuff, but wonder whether the 2.5 update will ever happen. What do people think? Is Peak Pro a good supplement to DP?

I'd swear that us Steinberg Ship-jumpers are now starting to outnumber the hard-core performer-users-from-way-back on this forum. BTW which multi-national owns Steinberg this week? I'm one of them. It's a breath of fresh air so far, and this forum is a big part of it. Its not always easy to figure ...

Failing that I'll give the iSight thing a go. BUt where do you move it to? Try creating a new folder and naming it "iSight Disabled" or similar. It should then sit right next to the plug's folder. Grab the plug-in and drag it next door to the "disabled" folder. Not sure why that...

Of course I don't see how examining a single plug into a new Audio Unit Info Cache would solve your problem - you'll still have to examine the remaining plugs next time. I may have confused the issue by assuming that DP will let you skip the AU check like other apps. In that case you take the risk ...

Re: After save - unexpectedly quit

It happens to me, that after executing the save command DP 5. 11 unexpectedly quits, of course without saving. I have the impression, this happens more often if I use a very big project - in terms of a long timeline. ( We record radio plays and series often with 30 tracks over a 10 hours long timel...

Possibly you have multiple versions of the driver for the device installed, and AMS thinks you have that number of devices attached?

This month's article is here http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/apr07/articles/dpworkshop_0407.htm It has a link to the previous article. You might have to subscribe, buy the issue, or buy the pdf. The on line subscription is well worth the price. Application notes are useful and reviews are well done.
