Re: Converting MIDI to Audio
I think this is possible if you use an external ReWire MIDI synth like Reason--you can send MIDI from DP to Reason via ReWire and have the Reason audio come back into DP via a stereo audio track. Once you have any number of audio tracks, you can bounce them down to a single stereo or mono track. BUT...

Re: DP's uneven MIDI countoff problem
Actually, David's post identified the problem, which apparently was a patch change, but strangely enough, not on the actual drum track. There was a patch change on the downbeat of the countoff on the bass track that--since I'm using a Roland XV-5080 (w/SRV-01 Drum card) to play BOTH drums and bass--...

DP's uneven MIDI countoff problem
Does anyone else have this problem? I'm running DP 4.61 on a 1.25 Dual Processor G4 with OS 10.4.11, MOTU 2408-III audio interface and MOTU MidiExpress 128 MIDI interface. Sometimes I notice that when starting playback of a MIDI sequence that has a typical "1-2-1-2-3-4" type drumstick coun...

Re: Is Unisyn the only answer to adding your own Patch Names?
I used Galaxy a long time ago and contemplated getting Unisyn, but with the newer expandable synths like the XV-5080 (which can have well over 1,000 patches--the excellent SRV-06 Complete Orchestra board has over 449 patches alone!), and of course software synths like Reason, it has never been neces...

Note about PowerMax and model choices
I recently bought a dual 1.42 G4 from PowerMax and had so many problems with it (seemingly random kernel panics not the fault of bad ram), I ended up exchanging it for a dual 1.25 G4 (FW800). So one suggestion regards PowerMax. They say they fully test all their Macs but don't really say what "...

How to convert old Patchlist Manager files (OS9) to OSX?
I've recently setup my DP/2408 MarkIII/MidiExpress 128 home studio and everything is working fine except for the "patchlist issue." I've got a Roland XV5080 with 5 expansion cards and ran the helpful "Expansion Card setup" but I'd like to customize some of the names (I think they...
