Re: Clippings creating tracks with "copy" in the title
Hey, thanks for the replies. This is happening in a blank sequence, so no conflicts with existing tracks. I’ve reached out to MOTU tech support about it as well as some other issues I’m having, hopefully they’re related.

Clippings creating tracks with "copy" in the title
Hey folks, I'm trying to use the Clippings feature more than I have in the past to make a more malleable template. However, when I drag the Clipping into the Tracks window, several tracks have the word "copy" at the end of their name. Not all, oddly enough, but probably around 50% of them....

Continuous Data preferences are resetting
Hey folks. I've been having an issue with DP in Catalina, and was wondering if anyone else has seen it. When in the MIDI Editor, I frequently hop between editing different CCs by tapping on the number keys, 1 for Modulation, 2 for Volume, etc. When I moved over to my new computer, I set my preferred...

Re: Missing instruments in 10.11 on Catalina
In case anyone else runs into this, it was actually a pretty simple fix, courtesy of Matt at MOTU. Quit DP. Open any Finder window and click the Go menu. With the menu exposed, hold the Option key and choose the Library item that appears in the list. Scroll down to the Preferences folder and double-...

Missing instruments in 10.11 on Catalina
Hey folks. So I've made the leap and bought a new Mac Pro, which has landed me in Catalina, and so far I'm having a bunch of troubles with it. The most immediate problem is that I've got some instruments, specifically the Spectrasonics ones, which are installed on the machine and have passed the exa...

Audio Export format location
Hey folks, I've got some saved audio export formats that I'm not using any more and want to delete, but haven't been able to find where on my Mac they're stored. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: DP 10.01 missing Technological Romance.bundle after upda
So... everything's working okay other than the themes, it's loading with the default theme, but if I try to change it gives me the same error.

DP 10.01 missing Technological Romance.bundle after update
Hey folks, I just grabbed the 10.01 (79936) update off the MOTU site, and after installing on my MacBook Pro I get an error when trying to open the application: "Digital Performer has encountered an error. OS error reported by File I/O: File not found (-43) Additional information: /Library/Appl...

Re: Enormous project file size
Hey Lennert, thanks for the suggestion. I've been resistant to using the decouple feature, thinking that not have all the information saved within the DP project might come back to haunt me when recalling projects, but it sounds like it's worth another look. I tend to have a fairly static orchestral...

...and now that I read more about the Undo History in the manual, it looks like that's my best place to start.

Enormous project file size
Hey folks. I've been having an issue for quite a while, thought I should finally look into it. For the last few years I've been running a very large template for scoring, with DP running on my MacPro master computer and all the VIs hosted in VE Pro, split between my Mac and a slave PC. My template h...

Re: The Case of the Missing Device Group
Hi HCMarkus, thanks for the suggestion, somehow I didn't think of the most obvious thing to do. I tried it, and it worked. Thanks for the help!

The Case of the Missing Device Group
Hey folks, I've built a large orchestral template with a few hundred tracks, using device groups to enable the new Composer Tools Pro app on my iPad. Everything works fine except for one track, which has a blank MIDI output (or, actually, a "--"), and that device group isn't in the big lis...

Re: Keyboard Maestro newbie question
Hey, thanks for the replies. I've been spending a bunch of time in KM over the last few days, and I've gotten it figured out, so I thought I'd post it here in case anyone else wants to give it a shot in their system. I tried the method of saving presets for each iteration, but it seemed to be a pret...

Re: Keyboard Maestro newbie question
Yeah, that's what I thought. I might be getting a little ambitious with it, but if I can make it all work it'd be pretty awesome. Of course, if MOTU wanted to add some more stuff into the Commands window so we could trigger different quantize settings, transpose settings, etc., that wouldn't be so b...
