Re: Audio Editor for Mac that can auto-truncate?
Just in case anyone is tracking this topic, I may have found a free (!) solution, right under my nose. Audacity has a set of features I'd never used. First is how it does batch processing. You can create a "Chain" of processes, then you can "Apply Chains" to either the currrent p...

Re: Audio Editor for Mac that can auto-truncate?
Thanks. As I mentioned, I'm aware of what DP does. I probably should have mentioned, this isn't for tracks. It's for a bunch of short samples.. Strip Silence doesn't have much resolution in the level setting. Also, it's the way I have to drag tons of samples into tracks, then export them. I was hopi...

Audio Editor for Mac that can auto-truncate?
I have a specific task where I need to trim some silence from samples. Ideally, I'd like a batch editor which allows me to set a threshold, and some pre/post roll. In essence: 1. Trim start from zero to XX ms/samples before breaking YY.Y dB threshold. 2. Trim tail XX ms/samples after dropping below ...

Re: Using Older MOTU Firewire Devices + Newer Macs / Thunderbolt 4
You should wait until your new Mac arrives to run some tests before investing in new equipment. It might be useful to clarify if something has changed about Apple's "approach" to firewire. I.e., will it absolutely not work, or does it's tolerance of firewire connection continue to be 'vest...

Re: Wave Arts Panorama 7 on sale $90.30 (reg $129)
At first I wasn't especially interested, but I made the mistake of watching the demo and was intrigued. … I do not need this. I do not need this. I do not need this. I really do not need this. Damn... Yea, that's exactly what my head was doing, too. Thanks for the tip about the YouTube video linkin...

Re: Troubling continuous data behavior in 11
Is it also the same regardless of Grid enable state?

Re: Troubling continuous data behavior in 11
This might be limited to MIDI CC automation lanes. Also perhaps notice whether grid on/off state has something to do with whether it "grabbing" an existing handle/node vs creating a new one.

Re: Troubling continuous data behavior in 11
I see that issue here. It seems if I click-hold-drag to create a new node/dot and drag it all in a single click operation it mostly behaves this way. However, if you first click and release (without dragging) to create a new node-dot, then click again to drag the dot, it seems to work normally. If y...

Wow! That is interesting. I have to imagine that lead poisoning has been a pernicious force throughout history, both before and after we figured out how toxic it is. (See PFAS)

Seems like time moves more slowly when you're waiting for a reply from a TechLink.

Re: Old to new extended keyboards-Can F13 through F19 be assigned the same as on the older F1 through F6 keyboards.
Neither of these pages say anything about f16–19. If these don’t work, you can call Apple and ask. I'm paying for AppleCare for this MBP which has lately felt like me paying to torture some helpless person who is powerless to fix what is broken in the Mac OS. But I'll add this question to my list o...
