Where is the Expansion Board Setup in DP 5.12?

Who writes the manuals for Motu products? It's maddening! My current encounter with Motu's " you can't get there from here" manual organization is on page 179 of the DP5 user guide. "Patchlists for Expansion Boards". I should know better when I see the words "seamless" ...

Opcode and other kindred dinosaurs

I'll go you guys and gals two better. I'm still lovingly keeping my Akai ASQ-10 and Yamaha QX-5 in a safe place in anticipation of the day when the cost and complexity and frustration of having to upgrade every stinkin' software app finally crushes the creative process. And I fired up my MacPlus wit...

I've used the BCF2000 with DP5 for a while now, and it works very well. Be sure to go to Behringer's website and download latest stuff. Run the BCF in Mackie Baby HUI emulation mode and go thru DP's control surface set-up hoops. It also helps to go to Mackie's site and download a copy of the Baby HU...

control surfaces and mortgaging the farm

OK all you gear snobs out there...prepare to guffaw. But I've used a Behringer BCF2000 with DP 4.12 thru DP 5.12 in Baby HUI emulation mode and it has worked flawlessly. Particularly capable for track automation purposes.

Stealth Gee Three Serial port and OSX10.4 on G5

Anyone have this or similar setup and able to get beyond having older serial interface show up in AudioMidiSetup AND communicate with external MIDI devices cabled to interface? Oh yeah, DP 5.12.

Well, here it is almost 3 years later than the date on your post, and I'm hoping you are still around, as your concise assessment of Unisyn is as appropriate today as then. The fiction of Unisyn working "seamlessly" with DP is .....well, let's leave it at absurd. The patchlists in DP seem ...

"...happen to know for a fact...."

Thank you for making perfectly clear the reason true help for Motu products is so hard to find. Even if tongue -in-cheek, your claim finally proves the suspicions of many of us that the Fab Four were indeed capable of time travel. How else to explain using a computer not released until 1985 on a rec...

Since your post is over 2 years old, I'll assume you found one or threw up your hands in disgust which for me at least seems to be the norm for Unisyn. I could use one also, and the only thing" generic and seamless" about Unisyn seems to be the manner in which it picks your pocket of the c...

Big brass

This dog is too old to learn many new tricks as the learning curve for software these days is so steep, but the sounds in Garritan's Jazz and Big Band Library are outstanding. I've just started to dabble in it and it's like an early Tom Clancy book-hard to put it down. Can't wait to commence to twea...

Thanks

USB to PowerMac G5 Dual 2.0 w/3gig, DP 4.12. I'm hesitant to upgrade from 4.12....every time I upgrade any software rhinoceros beetles start killing trees in Malaysia, and the other installed software doesn't want to play. With tape, it used to be the "ghost in the machine"- at least there...

Current posts on Unisyn forum

Isn't it curious that the time between posts is absurd? Either: 1- Most everybody who uses Unisyn has no trouble using it with it's "seamless integration" with Digital Performer, and I'm just a middle-aged dumb-a**, ....or..... 2- Like me, after countless hours of frustration have just dec...

DP4.12 and Yamaha S90

S90 randomly quits generating sound during playback of DP sequence. I've searched and searched for an errant controller message within the sequence which might be tellin' the S90 "stop" to no avail. This is a new development. What prompted me to post, however, is the strange behavior of......
