ableton live can do it very good sounding, with pitch change or without. it offers 4 modes of warping for different material, you can even change grain size. so you can choose one mode for the drums and another for the strings or whatever. the way I see it it also offers much more bang for the buck...

I didn‘t read the whole thread so I might be OT already, but I recently bought this fairly cheap phono preamp (70•‚¬), and I am satisfied with it:

I think you can use this with the free runtime version of max/msp, but I am not really sure...

I don‘t want to spread rumours - AFAIK conversion of bwav to sdII in DP is working great...

I am just complaining that it takes very long (if the project is huge as was the last I was working on - 30GB of audio files - took me a working day to convert and import them all.)

I'll talk to them at AES. I'm sure that'll help. Motu was a no show at AES last year.....I wonder if they'll show this year? They've not shown their faces there in several years (not the west coast ones anyway). Broadcast Wave is the AES standard.[/quote] perhaps thats why they didn‘t show?

I think what you're after is DP to playback WAV files without having to import to SD2. I don't know much about the issue, but it seems like from what I've read, Broadcast WAV is what they should consider doing due to the timestamping and the fact that this format is becoming pretty ubiquitous. you ...

Not sure what you're complaining about. I can import .WAV files into DP just fine. Please explain further what your situation is. of course you can import bwav files, but DP converts them to sdII - which takes all day on my macbook for this project which has 30GB of bwavs to import - there‘s also t...

BWAV support SIT IN! (no conversion to SDII anymore, please!)

I‘m now spending the whole day importing .BWAV files DP to mix and I am fed up, so I‘m starting this

 BWAV support SIT IN!

If you hate the way DP converts bwavs to sdII, join me!

there‘s the free vinyl plugin http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/vinyl/

but I think sampling old shellacs sounds a lot more fun...
here‘s a link to a band that uses samples of old shellacs (hence the name):

Add the MW EQ and get more like a chainsaw. You copped that from George Martin!! It's a little known fact that Sir George produced the Plasmatics greatest unreleased record. Wendy O with the London Philharmonic and chainsaws. Dave yeah, and it only didn‘t get released because they didn‘t have the M...
