What happens when you play back the track after capturing it?
Because all the other behaviors you describe sound correct.

Re: DP 9.5 with SynchroArts Project 5
I've only used it with DP 10, but it works as follows: Once it's captured a track and says "ready", (all you have to do it hit "capture" then play the sequence, then wait for the little spinning render thing in the lower left to stop, and it will say "ready") what you a...

Re: Black Rooster Audio VSTs do not work with DP 10.11 on Mac
Bump?
Black rooster wants me to do some stuff with the console that I'm not comfortable doing--especially since some of the commands are in German.(!) I really want to try their plugs though.
Anyone?

Re: DP 10.1 out
Well, that's a drag.
My comp is saying 18% total processor usage, but DP is saying it's maxed out. About half the cores aren't even being utilized. I'll never understand the DP processor meter, or why it doesn't use all available cores.
And thus it has always been.

Re: DP 10.1 out
Is anyone else seeing higher CPU usage on 10.1? I just updated from 9.5x, and a tune I was working on is now choking, when it wasn't before. Nothing else has changed in the system or sequence. Granted, this particular tune was close to maxing out at 2048 buffer size, but on 10.1, it just barfs unles...

Re: 88 key controllers
I require 3 pedals for my setup. Sustain, Expression (wah), and a third I use for patch changes. [snip] Although, arriving on this thread I've learned my beloved MPK88 has been discontinued, I still wanted to point out that, among its other considerable charms are THREE PEDAL INPUTS, which are prog...

Re: Bouncing out
Well, in situations where the CPU is pegging, I disable as many tracks as I need to to get it settled down, then do the real-time bounce. Usually, just turning off a reverb on a track I'm not bouncing is enough.

Re: Bouncing out
This discussion reminds me why I do all my bounces in REALTIME, like Frankf. Just easier. And faster. And less prone to oopses. But each to their own!

Re: DP 8.06 Is Available
Got 8.06 running yesterday, updting from 8.01 (I had had terrible crashing problems with 8.05 and had to go back to 8.01.) So far 8.06 been pretty flawless, and seems to use less CPU on a project I've been working on that was using pretty much every once of hoursepower my MacPro had. So, so far so g...

Meanwhile, CATFISH, yes, seeing whether or not it's a DP thing is what the I/O timing test is all about. Please check it and let us know!

Re: MIDI, VIs, Latency and Apogee (non MOTU hardware)
@catfish, I am also an experienced player, and at a buffer of 128, all but the fastest piano runs feel fine. I'm running DP with a Presonus interface, so it's not a MOTU hardware advantage thing. Something is up with your system, and I'm wondering if you ever did any I/O calibration. Try an experime...
