Re: Single interface (828x)-any reason to use external clock?
Does anybody remember Funk Logic? Looks like they just have one fake faceplate model now. Love Funk Logic. Very transparent sounding, no noise or coloration whatsoever. They have 1, 2 and 3-space rack mount units, plus 500 Series now. Freestanding desk model as well. https://www.funklogic.com Funny...

Re: How do I fix "unconfigured ports" for input on MIDI tracks?
I've just switched over to direct USB input from my Nord Piano, and under a MIDI track's input drop down, it shows Unconfigured ports > Nord Piano. It seems to work fine, but I was wondering how to configure it, or if that's even necessary. I've gone into the Audio/MIDI settings on the Mac and it s...

Re: Apple Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter and MOTU audio interface dropouts.
I suspect you could tell by Apple's over-the-top deluxe white packaging-- which I doubt a counterfeiter would bother to replicate (but I may be wrong). OTOH, if they are asking Apple's price, perhaps it would be worth it. I would think if it came in the proper packaging it’s legit. It’s a real head...

Re: Apple Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter and MOTU audio interface dropouts.
I have connectivity and noise burst problems with 2 different adapters, gave up and moved to USB, solved it. Something's not happy in my system with those adapters. Disappointing. That's a bummer. I know that only the genuine Apple adapters are supposed to work properly. Makes me wonder though, if ...

Re: Single interface (828x)-any reason to use external clock?
I just found my old rack mount external clock unit. It’s a Lucid GENx192. I have some empty spaces to fill up. I’m gonna throw it in the rack and do some experiments with it. If nothing else, have it flash its lights to further enhance the studio magic. Hahaha... yeah... I almost bought anoth...

Same here. Maybe it’s just a bum adapter or something?HCMarkus wrote:I do not have this issue with my 828ES, Mac Studio, and the Apple TB Adaptor.

Re: Single interface (828x)-any reason to use external clock?
MOTU recommends an external clock when there are three or more units connected. If you have sync issues, connect it over USB 2 instead of TB. The 828x uses a built-in Firewire to Thunderbolt adapter for connectivity. Since all MOTU FW devices run at FW400 speeds, there's a chance that the Fast USB ...
