Honestly, I bought Goliath before really listening to samples and it's a bit long-in-tooth. I didn't need it... even on sale. I'm considering writing to East West and asking for a refund and to revoke my licenses since I have found out I'm dependent on the cloud when I should NOT be.

Agreed. That's pretty outrageous that Opus requires an active internet connection, and for the iLok server to be up and running in order to run! FWIW The EW Installation Center now launches for me as does Opus in standalone as well as the plugin....so presumably the iLok server is running again? Bt...

Just sent a support ticket to East West about the Opus issue. If indeed my license activation is on my hardware dongle (as I'm pretty sure it is) then this weakness of their Opus player is unjustifiable.
