Re: Audio vs Aux tracks in template

With this in mind, if I had say 500 stereo audio tracks which receive audio from the multi-outputs of my various Kontakt instruments and synths, you think that would tax my system LESS than 500 AUX tracks receiving input from the same VIs? I need to test this, and it would likely be easy to do in t...

Re: Audio vs Aux tracks in template

I think the issue with Aux tracks is that any plug-in inserted on an Aux track must run in real time. It cannot use pregen.

Re: Latest MOTU Pro Audio driver with 828es and MIDI issues with older gear.

I am using a MIDI Express XT and don’t have any problems with system exclusive. I’ve got no reason to try the MIDI interface built into my 828 ES, but If I had time I would experiment with it and see if I have the same issues. Just a hassle getting to it.

Re: Sonoma 14.4 crash/kernel panic/reboot with Kontakt 7

Sonoma Public Beta 4 is working just fine over here. I waited for the brave ones first... Like all of these things I guess it depends on exactly what software you depend on. Fortunately I don’t use Pro Tools primarily, because Beta 4 hosed Pro Tools and Console 1 for me in terms of being able to op...

Really Interesting new MIDI Controller

This looks pretty cool: dTF_6zWtAXU It looks like a little display screen but with buttons and encoders that pop up through the screen so you can have different labels and templates appear around the encoders and buttons so it can be customized to whatever plugin/synth you are currently adjusting. T...

Arturia V Collection 9 update (Jun-6 V)

Arturia V Collection 9 update (Jun-6 V) Also another little updated popped up for Arturia V Collection 9, but it's just the Jun-6 V instrument that goes from 1.6.0.4395 to 1.6.1.4685. BTW, has anyone else noticed that from time to time the Arturia Software Center likes to spontaneously pause instal...

ik Multimedia ARC 4

ik Multimedia ARC 4 I didn't realize they had the software available separately for users of the plugin version. I have ARC 3. Still the upgrade price is $99.99 and with my Jam Points I can only get it down to $84.99, so I think I'm going to pass for now. I still have SonarWorks that I have yet to ...

Re: Mac "cleaning" app?

I use Find Any File to track down fragments of uninstalled programs. It may take a bit longer, and there is no automation involved, but one is in complete control of the process and you get a very clear map of where the files are installed. It can get annoying though when the OS keeps asking for yo...

Yeah... that app has always sort of made me unsettled. I'd rather not use it, too.
