Re: Is there a way to make a sequence Auto Stop?
I might not understand the question well but can't you use the auto/Manual End time function? On the chunks window, you right-click your chunk's name and there it is. You set it to "Manual" then input the time where you want your sequence to stop. Now you just have to make sure Memory Auto...

Re: MIDI controlled XLR mute box?
Maybe you could do something with MOTU's Volta. Given that it tranform MIDI to CV.
Just thinking out loud.

I took a Line 6 FB4 foot pedal and hooked it up to an old USB Computer keyboard I had. Instant USB pedal board.

Re: Control Surface Advice
If you only need a control surface with no preamps or any audio in it, get an aftermarket Mackie control and be done with it...

Re: Mackie MCU
:::but in DP, when you switch banks, DP changes the Mixer window display to show only the 8 tracks in the new bank (leaving out the Master track too). I find that really annoying, and could never get used to it. HUI emulators to this too. I'm assuming that DP will do the same thing with a real MCU ...

I've been using the Mackie for the past 10 years. Works great. I just wish MOTU would fix that jog wheel to something useful.

Re: New Mac and Yamaha Motif Patch List not showing up
Can you explain me exactly what you did? From what I can remember, You setup a new device, connect it to your Motif MIDI interface that shows up in AMS. You double click that new device and enter name, company and model in the AMS dialog Then you select this newly created device in DP. Should work. ...

Re: Triggering Chunk Changes on Next Beat-One (downbeat)
I just tried to assign "Go to previous Marker" to a MIDI note and then program that note into a MIDI track. I used DP's interapplication MIDI to loop that MIDI track back. It does work :) But it is a HUGE hit and miss. There seem to be an intern latency with MIDI/Command window. If ...

Re: Triggering Chunk Changes on Next Beat-One (downbeat)
You know what? If "Go To Marker" is assignable via MIDI, And IF the person taking care of the computer is NOT doing anything else, I guess you could setup a dummy "CONTROLLER" MIDI track that in which you could place notes in advance that would control DP by itself? If "Go T...

Mouse-less Transport Navigation
A creative use of Controller Mate or quickeys can allow one to move the transport from beat to beat WITHOUT the mouse: In the command window, these two commands are your friend :) -Move Memory "start/End" to "Previous/Next" "Beat/Measure" -Go to Memory start It just too...

Open nano sampler, put your soundbite in it, play with pitch bend. Voilà
