Re: Background Processing "Stuck"?
This was the response from MOTU about 3 months ago. It worked for me. Create a new project. Go to File>Load. Locate the project you are currently having trouble with, select it and hit open. The Load dialog box will come up. Select the chunk that contains the audio/movie and hit OK. This will load t...

Re: Gobbler and DP
*UPDATE*
Gobbler now officially supports and recognizes DP projects. The backup functionality was always there, but now it is easier to organize and sort all of your various media files.

Re: ADAT Out stops sending audio during show
Thanks for the reply TinenTech. I have not had the opportunity to replicate the exact situation since my original post. I will definitely try your suggestion when I have the chance. It was recommended by MOTU to clock the console and the two 828's from the BigBen word clock and I hadn't had any prob...

Re: ADAT Out stops sending audio during show
I am using a UPS, but have never experienced a voltage drop. If the UPS kicks in though there is an audible chirp alerting you of the problem and I haven't experienced any of that. It is all clean power coming from a dedicated 200A panel. Do you think a voltage drop would cause ADAT out to cut but k...

ADAT Out stops sending audio during show
Here is the setup. Macbook Pro with SSD and 8Gb ram running latest version of Qlab and OS 10.9.2. Updated MOTU drivers. Firewire 800 into two daisy chained 828mkiii hybrids. ADAT out of 828's into M7CL console. Using the first 6 channels of ADAT for a dance show. Once last night and once this aftern...

Re: Gobbler and DP
Using it here to backup studio sessions and every live event I track at my venue. Any thoughts on how it could be integrated into future versions of DP?

Re: pitch segment doubling
I've gotten this before. Unfortunately the only way I've found to fix it is clear all pitch adjustments and merge the soundbite. It seems after the merge when DP recalculates the overview and analysis files for the soundbite all pitch segmentation anomalies are reset.

Re: Beachball party after 21 track multitrack recording
Oh, I meant I literally use the intermission break between sets to listen back to what I've just recorded for any obvious errors. I also manually duplicate the DP project file as a backup. That way I'm ready and more confident for Act 2. I do all of this and let DP produce its analysis files all wit...

Re: Beachball party after 21 track multitrack recording
I routinely record live 32 tracks in DP. There is several minutes of processing that always occurs after hitting stop. It mostly has to do with building analysis files for every track. The longer you are in record and the higher resolution you record in, the longer the beachball spins. I use intermi...

Re: It's the little things in DP 8
The new plug in selection window is amazingly efficient. Especially the "recent" subgroup that auto updates. It is so convenient to be able to organize plugs the way I want. And the search bar, and the preset management . . . .

Re: DP problems with Apogee Duet?
If i ever have any issues with Duet I make sure to have Maestro running and "Refresh Connections" in the drop down menu. It always clears up any sync issues there might be. It also helps to have a saved Maestro profile that you can load to kind of reset any weirdness.

Re: Has anyone ever seen this happen before in a DP project?
So . . . I think I figured it out. My new Macbook Pro (2011) boots into 64 bit kernel by default, even after a restart. So I found a Terminal script to permanently boot the machine into 32 bit mode. So far this has improved the problem, but it is still hard to nail down exactly what the problem is a...

Re: Has anyone ever seen this happen before in a DP project?
I will try and Load the project into a new file tonight. It is definitely not displaying frames because the real time read out is 248:33:04.85!! and I'm pretty sure it is not MIDI control because there is only two audio tracks in the whole project, but I will check my template for any MIDI anomalies...

Has anyone ever seen this happen before in a DP project?
Has anyone here ever started playing a DP project and have it jump several hundred thousand (!!!) measures into the sequence? In my case after playing 2 measures from the beginning of the song it jumped to measure 447393. It has happened more than once and always jumps to a different place waaaaay f...

Re: Zbox (Or any DI, really) question
Any DI box sends out low impedance signal via the XLR connector (Zbox has 1/4" I believe) that needs to be amplified by a mic preamp, so I would say set your device to mic level and adjust accordingly.
