Re: 6 system upgrades, 3 computers later still stuck notes

I did forget to mention the MIDI interface part of this. I have used a MTP AV for most if not all of this time period. I actually swapped it out a few years ago for a Midiman Midisport which I bought to test to see if the interface was the culprit. It was taken out and I put the MTP back in so I gue...

6 system upgrades, 3 computers later still stuck notes

After upgrading through almost every OS 10 X version- now on Yosemite-and along the way upgrading to a new computer 3 times during the same period (including just now), and going from DP 4 through DP 8, I actually still get MIDI stuck notes. The ONLY things that have not changed in my studio all tha...

Korg legacy Digotal Collection and Yosemite

Hi Gang, I am upgrading my project studio with new computer and moving up to Yosemite. Anyone migrated the old Korg Digital Collection (Wavestation/M1) VI to Yosemite. I know it went 64 bit which is the version I already ran on Lion (my old system)but no info on the korg users site that I could find...

Re: Disappearing Patch Lists

I have the same issue as well. It also messes up the color chart when picking colors for tracks. One temporary solution is to close the Omnisphere VI window and then restart the project. All my graphic anomolies go away if Omnisphere is working , but its main window is closed upon start up of the pr...

Re: DP7 MIDI notes skipping, jumping, etc...

I use command 1 dozens of times a day. (all notes off) 99% of the time that clears the sticking notes. I do not have the skipping and jumping notes like you do- just sticking and random notes.

Re: DP7 MIDI notes skipping, jumping, etc...

if you are not using MIDI tracks then it is much less needed. But if you are using MIDI/virtual instrument tracks it is the easiest (only?) way to make sure all your tracks start in exactly the same place throughout a score.

Re: DP7 MIDI notes skipping, jumping, etc...

Yeah- I do not have any idea how someone doing any kind of film scoring can function without wait for note. But If there is a way to make sure cues start in exactly the right spot and not use wait for note I would love to know what that is! I also think it might be a MIDI buffer/OSX core MIDI relate...

Re: DP7 MIDI notes skipping, jumping, etc...

Lets try again to see if we have something in common in our systems that would give us both issues. Here are my old synths attached to DP through an MTP AV: Proteus 2 Korg Triton Roland 5080 controller is Kurzveil PC3 every other instrument is virtual or sample based. The only non music apps I have ...

Re: DP7 MIDI notes skipping, jumping, etc...

I agree that it might be a MIDI buffer thing, somehow related to the OSX core audio/MIDI setup. But since many people do not have this problme there is some other piece of the puzzle that no one has yet to figure out. Maybe its having a certain combination of synths, other app on the computer, who t...

Re: grayed out repeat and snip functions

Yeah, I didn't think that was gonna be it.

My work around right now is to change one of the selection fields and then change it right back again to what I really wanted. This, for me anyway, always fixes the problem and gets the edit menu to show all the options. Weird! And VERY random.

Re: grayed out repeat and snip functions

Now that it looks as though I am not the only one with this issue- could anyone else who is experiencing this please give MOTU tech support a call if you can. They suggested that if they knew it was more of a problem that just me, they would put more emphasis on fixing it. The only work around I hav...

Re: grayed out repeat and snip functions

Yeah- When I am editing just MIDI/vi tracks I use the tracks window, Just always been easier in my work routine. Obviously when I am editing audio I am in the seq edit. But again I go back to the tracks window for region editing of MIDI tracks. BTW- I have noticed other region commands greying out t...

Re: grayed out repeat and snip functions

Talked with MOTU tech support today and they said they have started to see some weirdness when selecting a time range in the tracks window. They think it is not an issue when editing within the seq editor, just the tracks window. They also suggested I try a new seq not from any template, but from sc...

Re: grayed out repeat and snip functions

A little more detail: 99% of the time, my starting and ending range selections comes directly from the counter location, by clicking on the little start or end arrow and picking up whatever time is on the counter. So I am rarely entering the time data by hand, which means I am not using the tab key ...
