Re: Click defaults only follows conductor track?

Thanks, stubbsonic. I've moved on to a different project at the moment, but when I get a moment I will look again. I may have left something out that's in your description. :)

Re: Click defaults only follows conductor track?

Greetings, people from 2015. 8) I'm having the same problem, but I've done everything I know to do. At the beginning of the sequence I've added a meter change and a tempo change, set the tempo source (or whatever it's called) dropdown menu to "Conductor," made sure my tempo is in the corre...

Re: Redefine the location of 0:00?

Yeah, I almost went there! Rick and James, Ah, now I understand what I was doing wrong when trying to use Set Chunk Start Time. I wasn't entering the negative time (-5.71 sec) in the time field. Got it now. Thank you both! DM No problem. We’re Rick (and) James! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com...

Redefine the location of 0:00?

I always pad my projects with blank measures at the beginning, mostly for countoffs. So I'll deliver a mix that starts at 00:05.71 in my DP project, but for the client that mix starts at 0:00. If they come back to me with time references, I have to adjust them by 5.71 seconds. Is there a way to rede...

Re: How do I remove the Default Patch for a MIDI track?

Well yes, if the goal were simply to update the patch number in the Patch column, and if what the manual says is accurate, it looks like it would indeed do that. And of course, if System Exclusive data is checked in the Input Filter list, it gets written to the record-enabled MIDI track when you phy...

Re: How do I remove the Default Patch for a MIDI track?

Hi stubbsonic, Yes, I read this in the manual as well. If you would like to choose a patch for the track, but you do not want the patch to be remembered with the project, choose it from this Patch menu. But that's only partially accurate. It does remember it with the project—and any new project you ...

Re: How do I remove the Default Patch for a MIDI track?

Thanks for the reply, James. This may be a DP7 thing (yeah, I'm all about the "vintage"...) but quitting was the only thing that worked, though I didn't realize this until I came back from dinner. Merely closing the project didn't do it. I tried creating a new test project (pre-quitting/di...

Re: How do I remove the Default Patch for a MIDI track?

Well... I quit DP (which I hadn't done during any of the previous tests) and went downstairs for dinner. When I came back and relaunched DP with the project, the offending "current patch" entries had mysteriously disappeared! I need to make a note of exactly what I ate and what I was weari...

Re: How do I remove the Default Patch for a MIDI track?

Forgive the zombie thread reanimation, but I obviously never use this feature! A poster was kind enough to tell me how to delete the default patch, but there's another column in the TO simply called "Patch." Same problem I posted about all those years ago with default patch. Once I've sele...

Re: V RACKS

I know this is an ancient ghost thread but... DP has been my DAW for over 20 years and I don't think I've ever used the V-Racks feature. Today, though some sort of ham-fisted keyboard maneuver, I unknowingly created a V-Rack. Had no clue how to delete it. Having found this thread I was able to delet...

Re: MachFive 2 is stuck at "Saving Preset"

Thanks for the very thorough reply, mikehalloran. I've gone down the list of possibilities you listed, and I am able to rule some of them out. Neither libraries nor app have ever lived on a remote drive. Presets/samples are not stored on a partition. No changes to ~/Library/Application Support folde...

MachFive 2 is stuck at "Saving Preset"

When I try to save a preset I've modified in MachFive 2, it gets stuck at "Saving Preset." The graphic spins and spins forever. Finally I get a "Connection failed" dialog saying: The server "192.168.1.16" may not exist or it is unavailable at this time... This was, no d...

Re: Creating tempo map from audio files. Hep me! [Solved!]

D'oh! It was indeed right under my nose. Pretty sure I've done this correctly before, and then forgotten how I did it. After using "find beats in selection" on the click track audio, in the Beats tab of the Waveform Editor, I went to Audio->Soundbite Tempo->Analyze Soundbite Tempo,...
