Re: Auto tune guitar
Could one of a number of problems. Try and analyse where on the neck the guitar goes out for tune. If it's above the 5th fret it is most likely your intonation If it's below the fifth fret it could be worn frets or your nut needs attention (a fret filing situation). It could also be, you're pressing...

Re: Repairing Severe Clipping
Firstly, I would try riding out the clip using trim automation to smooth it out Sure the clip will still be there, but can you actually hear it? Modern day converters can be quite forgiving If not then you're done. Second, try pasting other rides over but I would apply a hp filter to the pasted ride...

Re: Having trouble with pitch correction/edits
I'm experiencing the same problem from time to time in 9.52. It's a double edge sword, as the pitch shifting quality on program material is awesome and this (hopefully temporary) bug is the downside. My workaround is to firstly create a duplicate take of the vocal for tuning, then re-merge the file ...

Re: DP 9.5 Time Stretching Bug
Found a bug when time manual stretching a vocal. Whilst there isn't a problem with actual stretch, the resultant file is at least 1dB quieter as a result.

Re: Digital Distribution Services. Opinions?
... I'd be interested to hear anyone else's take on the CD Baby vs Tunecore, cos I get asked this all the time by clients and those are the names that come up the most. Very interesting! Is BandCamp more of a USA thing? I was surprised to see you not even list it, since I only know of people (here ...

Re: Digital Distribution Services. Opinions?
She's used Bandcamp in the past. I should ask why she doesn't want to use it for this launch. It's really her business, but I just don't want to see her get ripped off. I know she's down to the two I mentioned, but she would listen if someone had stories to tell. I haven't comparison-shopped for at...

Re: Grid snap override
Because that requires an extra step – toggle the grid, then nudge. I just think it would be so much easier if you could just nudge while holding down a modifier to toggle the grid you can modify the commands hotkey in the Commands page to just G it still toggles but at least that limits the hassle ...

Re: Grid snap override
Control G turns grid on and off. Cmd is a latching on/off function which is fine for dragging but not for nudging with the arrow keys as that key combo is obviously zoom in and out. That's where I use Control G to enable/disable grid then use the arrow keys to nudge. Right… I would like to be able ...

Re: Crossfades wipe out Bite Gain in 9.13
A promising development. I already got this reply from Andrew @ Motu Added by Andrew on 2017/05/18 14:59:43 Universal State change from 'Awaiting reply' to 'In progress' Hi Sean, Thanks for writing. This is a bug that found it's way into 9.13. We are currently working on the fix. I'll keep you poste...

Re: AVB or Thunderbolt for 624? And... Cable Length?
I have an Orion 32+ connected to my Mac book pro via a two meter thunderbolt cable as my live recording rig. This works fine over 2 m for what it's worth. I believe that thunderbolt is claimed to work up to 100 m as it's optical I don't see why not. Historically CAT5 definitely works up to 100 m ove...
