Re: DP6 AND ROLAND'S VS1680

I was quite the avid Roland VS fan.... I had the 1880. As someone else said, it was the most stable, easy to use, system I have ever had. What stunk was the ability to do exactly what you want to do. The only success I had with transferring tracks was from the VS1880 to DP. Set the VS1680 to receive...

New (Old) Missing Palmer West Songs

We just wrapped up our new album and we are waiting to have it mastered. We recorded the basic instruments and a studio, overdubs at my house with DP and mixed at another studio.... So I thought I would dig up some old tunes that we never really did anything with them and decided to record new parts...

Re: Orchestral samples for live use..... in an orchesrta.

Thanks for all your input everyone. I am going to give it a shot with the french horn, I have some kids I am going to start on low brass, but I can't see any french horn player starting this year and being able to play grade 3/4 music... I will make an audio recording of the ensemble to post when I ...

Re: Orchestral samples for live use..... in an orchesrta.

Yeah, my idea was to have the student sit in the orchestra with the laptop and speakers right there with him\her so that it would blend as best as they can.... I have thought through many of the things mentioned by MLC (except the legalities which don't apply). Undermining student achievement on a r...

Hey all, Its been a while since I have been around... I have been finishing up another Missing Palmer West CD (My band), working, and enjoying my summer off of work. Anyway, school is almost here and I have been thinking. I am a middle school orchestra, concert band, and jazz band director (7/8 grad...

Anyone currently using any Great River Stuff..... I have an API 500 Lunch box that I got from a friend... Now I want to start filling it up..... I currently run either my Sytek preamps, or my dual channel Sebatron Tube preamp through a BLA modded 828mkii, plus a Distressor. I recently purchased a du...

I have a 1973 MKI Rhodes and as others have stated there is nothing quite like it. It cost 400$ 3 years ago and came with a Janus I Stereo cab (So essentially a suitcase rhodes sound in a stage page). I also have a 200a. The electro does the 200a better than the Rhodes in my opinion. They are both v...

Now the problem is I see 2005 Gretsch models going for 1400$ (Nashiville) or 1150$ (Tennesse Rose) going on ebay and I can probably swing those, yet never played them.

I really like the nashiville in amber.... Sondre Lerche plays one in blue and I really dig his tunes....

600$ at GC no case

I can't afford 2k for a nice Gretsch or Gibson.

I need to try the Ibanez...

I am thinking of getting a nice hollow body guitar to compliment my thinline tele. Any body have any suggestions on where to start... It apparenty will wind a new string, plus it will check intonation as well.....

I agree that the tuning isn't as cool as the alt tunnings.

I would love to be able to change tunning is seconds....
Then I might actually use them....
