Re: DP 7.12 - mysterious missing soundbites problem
Today I found out I´m having the same problem. Really weird. The "import audio file on import to project" (or what it´s called) is checked and it always worked fine until now. I think this is a VERY anoying bug. I´ll try to make a work around by doing the project "save a copy as"...

Re: Mighty Mouse and Magic Mouse...retired to storage
I have to agree about the Apple "Mighty" Mouse... Overall I like the feel, but the Scroll does seem to kick-the-bucket a bit too soon for my taste and they are very sensitive to the smallest amount of dust. I have used numerous Logitech Mouse's... The new speed scroll is pretty cool in som...

Re: Sennhesier MD 421 Question - RESOLVED!!! USER ERROR!
I have always liked the sound of the Sennhesier 421. It is a very good "Mic-of-all-Trades"... I feel a bit the same way about the Shure SM57. To my ear I find the 421 to be a slightly richer / warmer version of the 57.... I really like the sound on Toms and Snare drums. They make a very go...

Re: kick mics
I can recommend the: Audix D6 ~ Seems to have a warmer more natural sound (My personal favorite)... AKG D-112 , ~ Has a bit more click / upper mid character... .... Some people like the EV RE-20 as a kick Mic... ("I personally don't," though I love it on some Vocals)... Have heard some goo...

Talked about this issue in this thread...

Not good that this is still a problem in DP7.

Re: AUDIO FILES FROM ONE PROJECT SAVING INTO ANOTHER
No, I've seen this and I'm pretty sure it's a bug. If you save a template, all new projects that use that template start saving their audio in the Audio folder of the project the original template was made from. I first noticed this in about 6.02. Very annoying and potentially dangerous. If you qui...

Re: Weird Hard Drive Issue
Hey y'all! I'm having a weird issue that I can't seem to fix. I have a Maxtor One Touch external firewire hard drive that, it would appear, is not mounting correctly. It shows up under Disk Utility and System Profiler, but is nowhere to be found on my desktop or anywhere else that would allow me to...

Re: Mac -> PC -> Mac DP project file repair?
conleycd, is correct... SDII files "I Believe" have a resource fork in the file. Putting them on a Windows formatted hard drive strips the resource fork. If you compress them first it should solve the problem.

Re: Interface with multiple S/PDIF inputs?
Keep in mind that even if you find an interface with multiple SPDIF ins, you will need to have the word clocks all in sync. This may not be easy if at least one of your SPDIF devices does not have a word clock in. Most interfaces can be synced to the word clock of the incoming SPDIF signal. However ...

Re: DP 6.02 i/o routing weirdness
If you are using a MOTU audio interface, and you installed the driver software, you should see an application called CueMix somewhere in your Apps folder. It is primarily used for zero latency monitoring. It allows you to direct the audio from the inputs directly to the chosen outputs. If the cuemix...

Re: DP 6.02 i/o routing weirdness
Sounds like you may have the Cuemix set to monitor through hardware. You may need to open cuemix and mute all the inputs.

Re: LCD monitor advice
I'm wondering if I could hook up a 40" LCD TV, hang it on the wall in front of me, and also use my 23" Apple Cinema Display. There are two DVI outs on my MAc Pro. Anyone out there have an answer? DVI = HDMI - Audio. The Mac Pro has just what you need. With the proper DVI to HDMI adaptor c...

Re: LCD monitor advice
If you are looking for a more zoomed image you may want to consider a 40' or bigger LCD 1080P television. The native resolution is 1920 X 1080. We have taken that approach in our studio and love it! WSVP, Now you have me thinking (no easy task before 10AM!) if I use my 32" LCD 1080p as a monit...
