conleycd, is correct... SDII files "I Believe" have a resource fork in the file. Putting them on a Windows formatted hard drive strips the resource fork. If you compress them first it should solve the problem.

Sounds like you may have the Cuemix set to monitor through hardware. You may need to open cuemix and mute all the inputs.
