Re: Movie window turns black when moved to an external displ

Technically, there's no such thing as a DP movie window . The window is QuickTime. It syncs with DP so, if the audio wasn't behaving, I could see a DP issue but it's the video that doesn't appear on your external monitor till re-sized. If you have access to telephone support like we do in the State...

Re: Movie window turns black when moved to an external displ

There is a simple workaround: resizing the movie window brings back the video display. So it's not a serious bug... Maybe but some display issues are not bugs. Here are a couple of suggestions—if they don't work, click on the default to undo any changes. Try a different profile under System Profile...

Movie window turns black when moved to an external display

Hello, I just installed DP 10.11 on a brand new iMac Pro (macOS 10.15.2), and the movie window turns black as soon as I move it to an external display (HDMI via a HDMI-to-USB-C adapter). Can anyone reproduce this behaviour? Is there a workaround?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Third International Film Music Competition

Sorry for the fee, but carrying out this competition is quite expensive and unfortunately depends on the income from the entry fees... The film is a graduation film, and the store "Maximall" is fictitious. (I just googled "Maximall": there are "Maximall" brands in Turke...

If you win, it would be about $11,413.57 (according to my Mac currency calculator).
Actually the entry fee is 75 EUR (about 104 USD). If you register before May 30th, there is a reduced early-bird fee of 50 EUR (about 70 USD)!

Re: 2nd edition of the International Film Music Competition!

I strongly advocated the abolition of the age limit (it was 35 last year). Alas, all I could achieve was that the age limit was raised to 40. :sorry:

Re: Film music competition

It's discrimination but is of no consequence other than to massage the egos of the promoters. I wonder how old they are? I think we discussed the sense and – especially – the nonsense of age limits quite thoroughly and objectively until now in this thread. I'd greatly appreciate that the discussion...

Re: Film music competition

Perhaps "previously unpublished" or early career I could understand better. An 80year old composer can be in his early career and his life experience should not count against him. I completely agree. (Just an example: I am 48 and working as a film composer since 2007, so I am still in my ...

Re: Film music competition

Well, I'm one of the organisers of this competition and I can assure you that I REALLY spoke up against an age limit, but, alas, to no avail... The prevailing argument was that it is common practice that composition competitions have an age limit of 35 – but I completely agree with MIDI Life Crisis ...
