Re: VE Pro 5, Kontakt & DP problem
Could this be related to the memory leak discussed in this thread?

Re: Interesting RAM Problem
At first, I, too, I thought that one particular VI is the culprit, but desactivating each one of the VIs didn't resolve the problem. It seems that the memory leak is independent of the kind of virtual instruments, but rather that the memory leak gets bigger the more VIs you have loaded. Furthermore ...

Re: Interesting RAM Problem
Last week I sent a support ticket to MOTU, I'll let you know when I get an answer.
BTW, can anyone explain me why DP crashes around 2.5 GB RAM usage? A 32-bit application can use up to 4 GB of RAM, can't it?
Cheers

Re: Interesting RAM Problem
Yes, I think there might be a bug with V-Racks. On the other hand I can't work without V-Racks; for me V-Racks are the killer feature that makes me prefer DP over all the other sequencers. Kevoguy uses 7.24 and has the same problem... Let's hope the MOTU guys are reading this thread and will fix the...

Serious Memory Leak
Meanwhile the memory leak in my project has become so serious that I have to restart DP at least once an hour. Every time I hit the spacebar, the used RAM increases by 10-30 MB. All my VIs and effects are hosted in a V-Rack. When I delete this V-Rack altogether, the used RAM goes instantly down to 8...

Count me in. Same problem here. All my VIs are hosted by VE Pro, so these can't be the culprit...

Re: How many 5.13 people waiting to upgrade?
Still using 5.13 on a PowerMac G5 Quad with 10.4.11 -- I can confirm that it is a very stable combination. DP 6 box unopened on the shelf. I think I'll upgrade to DP6 when I buy a new computer (probably in a couple of months); and I'll keep my good old sloooow G5 for the old projects.

Re: Suggestions for DP 6.0.3
#2. I would like to be able to view the mixing board and the v-rack at the same time in separate windows. #4. when creating or editing MIDI CC# data in the graphic editor, why are we only given like 7 or 8 CC # options to start with? I especially second these two suggestions! (And I suspect they ar...

Re: 64-bit DP anytime soon?
There's one of the Kontakt forum posters who says that in the current version of Logic (which is still 32-bit), Kontakt 3.5 will nevertheless be able to run 64-bit native, as the EXS sampler does. http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showpost.php?p=439835&postcount=23 Can anyone comment on th...

Re: 64-bit DP anytime soon?
Kontakt 3.5 has been announced:

It will be 64-bit native, and it will be able to access more than 4 GB of RAM when loaded as a plug-in in Logic! So now the weather has changed, and I really hope that DP will catch up soon...

DP Keyboard is out!
By chance I stumbled over the logickeyboard website, and I found out that they meanwhile make a special keyboard for DP! http://www.logickeyboard.com/shop/default.asp?SetLng=4&productid=LKB%2DDIGIP6%2DM89 Are there any significant keyboard shortcut differences between DP5 and DP6? (I'm still on ...
