Not really my area regarding this device, but with a PC make sure you disable all those background services, lan, antivirus and the other stuff that is not needed. This is usually a big reason for poor PC performance. we're not talking about poor pc performance here. i have 2 gigs of ram and 2.2 gh...

Ultralite runs like a champ on my centrino PC. 32 64 128 buffer levels all work fine. tested using Kontakt, battery, atmosphere, and a few other synths. Yup all at the same time... You def gotta do a lot of tweaking on XP to get em to run right. I saved myself some trouble and got a PC from ADK Aud...

update : ok so i tried changing to gold plated firewire cables, and that hasn't resolved the issue at all :(

it seems the only fix it to up the buffer >.<

which seems odd when the buffer on the mac sits at 256 no problem, but it's gotta be 1024 on the pc

I just moved my computers into another room and needed a longer cable...The tech page says the MK3 can handle audiowire cables up to 60 feet. This cable is 50ft and I am getting crackling on the analog channels...Any Audiowire input on the back of the card (1-4) create the same result...Any ideas??...

After lots of fussing, I'm am still unable to get reliable operations with 3.6.7.0. As described above, I'm getting ASIO driver dropping packets resulting in little gaps, stalls, and squeals. Am resorting to earlier driver version. Hello, MOTU? well in fairness, ASIO is filthy and unstable to begin...

i disagree on one basis. ground looping causing line noise. i had a problem with the mbox where i had a huge noise floor and i didn't know why. turns out i didn't have shielded usb cable and it was causing a ground loop. but as far as the clairity of the signal, they are right it wouldn't. however b...

a buddy of mine once told me that if it isn't high end focusrite then the name doesn't mean anything. im going to have to agree with that. i owned an mbox with focusrite preamps in it and they were complete garbage. in retrospect the best pre's i've dealt with were the motu ones followed by m-audio....

MOTU Ultralite Driver issues (PC)

so i pinpointed my problem from the previous thread, and it was the buffer size, i had to set the buffer to 1024 in order for it not to crackle using s/pdif. i find this rather puzzling as on the pc, it set to external sync source, so the mac, is doing all the sync and it's set to 256. in terms of l...
