This Just Happened to me. I reloaded DP 8 From motu.com but no luck. To continue I loaded MAS Reverb and I decided to try Proverb again and the presets showed up. I will do as suggested and see if that is the fix

In the Event List Window. there is a scroll down window that says "patch change" From there you can set patches for your Hard ware 0r soft synth

You should not have to select audio data to change the fade type and possibly make a change you did not intend to, You should be able to just reach up to the menu and select type of fade
