Re: Audio vs Aux tracks in template
Do you use a separate V-Rack for each VI? If the VI is still in the Chunk, when you click the Enable button, does that not achieve the same thing? I'm not challenging you here, this is just the way I've done it in the past. I thought enabling the VI turned it off. I'm eager to learn. I have a super ...

Re: Really Interesting new MIDI Controller
Neat. It seems like an evolved Mackie C4 controller.

Re: Audio vs Aux tracks in template
Hello, Bayswater,
What’s the difference between putting the VI in V-Racks instead of in the Chunk (other than the ability to use the VI for multiple Chunks)?
This may be something I used to know and forgot. I only use V-Racks for a couple of things these days.
Joe

Well, it’s not currently working, but, I’m willing to give it up for science.

Re: Touch sensitive faders
The MCU can do it. You have to have the track in DP set to Touch mode and have Enable Automation Playback and Enable Automation Recording on. Chapter 71 page 873 in the User Manual.

Re: 896mk3 Inputs 1 and 2 won't mute (Resolved)
I figured out what was happening. I have an Aux using Hardware Insert coming into the Mac/DP from my secondary 896 for my plate reverb. Because I only use 896 "B" for plate and tape machine, I usually don't have it turned on. When creating a new template with 896 B off, it's reassigning th...

Re: Touch sensitive faders
There are a few MIDI controllers that work the way you mention. Mackey's MCU does what you are looking for, though, it does not seem to be a popular controller. I love it though.

Re: Unwanted output from bussed tracks AND aux
My guess: If you are using a buss, you would want to mute the track channel to only hear from the Aux. If you only ever want to hear through the Aux, instead of bussing, set the outputs to that Aux.

I believe that it might be that you don't have any numbers in the Selection Information fields. They're showing 0:00:00.00 for start and finish.

Crap! I have what sounds like the exact machine that you are looking for, but, it just recently died on me and won't start up. I was only using it for recording LPs, so, I did not try to diagnose or fix it. Mine is MacPro5,1 and the description is Mid 2010, so, maybe not the same as 2012, but, the s...

Re: Recording with Digital Performer at HALF-SPEED?
I've tried using the ZTX in a varispeed fashion, but, only seem to get either a time stretch or a pitch stretch. I'm not trying to do a half-speed conversion thing though (I have done various half speed things using Spectral Effects - it usually creates a lot of sound artifacts though) and it looks ...

Re: Tracks window Ctrl+right arrow - Resolved
This problem (for me only I guess) was caused if the Window divider of the Tracks window is too far to the right. If it's in the middle, or, more to the left, scrolling will occur in the Track Overview. I can't imagine ever wanting to scroll in the Track List, but, this can be done by moving the Win...

In Counter (Shift+J) go to Set Display and choose which Time type you want your Main Counter and Aux Counter to be.

Re: Bounce-to-Disk Counter Format
Mine starts at zero like the screenshot. I'll start with a dumb question: When you go to Counter > Set Chunk Start, is your Real Time and Frames set to 0:00:00.00 and 0:00:00:00 respectively? I remember back in the old days when I used to sync my ADAT, I used to have Frames set to 1:00:00.00, but, t...
