Re: DP10 - MOTU please
Another thing - scaling of UI misses quite some windows. MAS-Plugins (tried to use MW Limiter - remember those from the earlier days with DP2.7 to DP6 on Mac) - too tiny on my high density display ... other plugins also do not get scaled up - but some of the offer that functionality by now ans the o...

Re: DP10 - MOTU please
Yes, I know
Here it also seems they have to refine their VST3 implementation - most VST3s came out as problematic (disabled) (Win 10 64bit, DP10 64bit) e.g. Pianoteq latest, HALion, lots of Plugin Alliance stuff ....
Any other experiences with that?
Thanks

Re: DP10 and Steinberg UR22
Not a direct answer - the UR242 works (Win10 Pro 64bit) as ASIO interface with DP10 (64bit)
I would suspect that drivers are not too different ... but of course this has to say nothing.
Maybe that info is insightful in some way.

DP10 - MOTU please
MOTU, if offering a Windows version, and still supporting (what - 32 bit Windows) - please allow custom installation ..... really ... I would never touch any Windows OS before 8.1 and nothing 32bit ....
I do not need deprecated code structures on my hard disk.

Re: How do you handle articulations?
I doubt that Apple will even get involved, if their current attention levels toward Logic are any indication. In fact, articulation events were added to Logic recently. They are not well documented, don't seem to add much, and look like a pre-cursor to a more complete feature. A 3rd party has built...

Re: DP for Windows in 2013?
Me, I do not want a fully charged touch sensitive DAW - I would like to have a great MIDI and audio recorder with great functionality for on the instrument recording. DP MIDI and Polar and takes would be nice .... But the interface is not up for this. Maybe Cubasis on the iPad? Or Cubase on PC (expe...

DP for Windows in 2013?
Hello, I used DP on Mac for some time. Now I had to get a PC for work - convertible with touch screen - and as there is no DP version (or any other reasonable MIDI sequencer) for iPad I thought - well, have a look at DP8 on the convertible. Would be nice to use while sitting at my digital piano .......

Re: which hard drive for new iMac
Hello How about the USB3 interface .... I mean, USB2 always meant CPU overhead ... is USB3 better in this regard? Or would it be better to go eSATA with a Thunderbolt2SATA converter (like the laCie?) Also, on the new iMacs, how is USB3 speed affected if also USB2 devices are connect so some of the c...

Re: MIDI enhancement in DP 8 (?)
What "improvements" in MIDI in DP are you looking for? DP has long been the "king" of MIDI implementation among all the DAW's. I personally can't think of anything MIDI-wise that DP needs an "improvement" on. Well, if you take pure MIDI .... but the VST Expression Cuba...

Re: New Product: MOTU Track 16
Hard to say. I read up on this and found a lot of contradictory views. So I tried running a disk speed test. Set up is FW 800 on the iMac over a FW 800 cable to a FW 800 Lacie disk, then a FW 800/400 adaptor cable from the Lacie to the FW 400 port on the MOTU 828 Mk 3. WIth that setup, I ran the te...

Re: New Product: MOTU Track 16
Well, for me this clearly is competition to the RME Babyface. It is somehow funny they only included FW400 interface (although using a FW800 connector), not a FW800 interface. Seems quite interesting to me. on the FW-bus with a UAD2 Sat .... Or leave the FW-Bus to the UAD2 Sat and connect it via USB...

iPhoneApp for lecturers - looking for people willing to beta
Hello, I hope posting this here is ok in general and also with the topic of this forum ... I know that there are some profs and lecturers on this forum and the MOTU-MAC list, I programmed a little iPhone app to help profs/lecturers to remember their students (faces and names) and would be happy if s...

Re: More confusion over future of RNDigital plug-ins
Well, I think 'good' and 'bad' are the wrong categories .... The whole take-over by RN was a catastrophe. To me it seemed that a person with a self-esteem bigger than it actually does him well needed a new playground and maybe he thought because he is excellent in one domain makes him excellent in a...
