Thanks RG -- that works. I'll probably just end up doing the work in Audacity then.
Stay warm!

Convert from AUP?
Hi Folks, I'm getting some AUP (Audacity Project format) files in next week. I need to edit them and output as an mp3. I'd like to use DP. I figure I can download Audacity and just use that to edit, or save from Audacity in a format that DP can read. My question is -- can DP simply read an AUP file?...

Re: Creating a Lead Sheet from a Vocal
Thanks Sooshie. Well, I didn't even think that I need to be in pitch...so there's my first problem :) I just have to make one of these "annoying general statements" here... I had a fairlight voice tracker in the mid 80's that worked better than this. It's not a knock against DP -- I'm just...

Re: Creating a Lead Sheet from a Vocal
Yeah, I REALLY don't sing in key! lol!
I think what I'll try tomorrow is to start with a pitch, and just do a scale up and down and see how close I can get it. If it's just my singing, I can work on that.
Thanks,
Fred

Re: Creating a Lead Sheet from a Vocal
Ok, read the link (thread) and tried it and it worked. But I don't think there's a single accurate note there -- it's nothing at all like the original. I'll play around some more with it, but is this something that isn't "perfected" yet? Or should it really be pretty accurate? (and I'm doi...

Creating a Lead Sheet from a Vocal
Hi Folks,
I was kind of hoping I could just sing something into a mono audio track and convert it to MIDI notes. Is there a way to do that? Didn't see anything "obvious" in the pull-down menus
Thanks,
Fred

Re: Set tempo range?
Ok, thanks guys. I think the answer is "no, you can't do that." At least, not the way I want to, which is to select the tempo marks, and maybe "limit to a low of 110" or something like that. Like you would change the velocity of group of notes, for example. The other methods work...

Re: Set tempo range?
Ok...I'm flailing. :shake: I can select the tempo marks... no problem. But when I go to Region/Change Continuous Data -- there's nothing mentioning tempo marks. Is there a controller number for them? (nothing in the index on that, that I can see) Better yet, I actually read the pages in the manual! ...

Re: Set tempo range?
Hey, cool! Thanks MLC, appreciate the help. And I will indeed upgrade to 5.13 (yes, I'm actually on 5.11, but am amazingly sloppy in my posts

Set tempo range?
I'm still back on DP 5.0.
Is there any way to highlight a block of tempo markings and set their range? (say between 105-110bpm)
Thanks
Fred

Best way to fine-tune a sample?
Hi Folks, I'm using the Native Instrument "orchestra" and am finding that a high tenor sax note is just a tad sour. I've tried adjusting by pitch (using pitch bend) but that doesn't seem to work. Tried using another note and pitch bending...but that didn't work either. (maybe if there were...
