That happens a lot when editors use Adobe Premiere, the TC FX in Premiere is 30fps as default, it's easy to miss that when you drag the TC FX onto a clip.

Re: Anyone slaving another computer to display movie
Thanks dewdman, but I did this in bundles as well as in the MIDI/Audio Config on the OS, which is essentially the same thing and they both have the MMC checked. I would like to know if anyone is slaving another computer through hardware MIDI and is able to use MMC to control it, i'm not talking abou...

Re: Anyone slaving another computer to display movie
I am using a hardware MIDI interface (Emagic AMT8) with a MIDI cable, the MMC box is checked on the driver and still don't get MMC sent from DP to another computer. Anyone knows if it takes a special MIDI interface?????

Re: Anyone slaving another computer to display movie
That is the reason why I had to let DP go, as much as I love DP and all it's film features. I could not figure out how to make this happen, scrubbing a slaved video hosted into another DAW on another computer (in my case Pro Tools) with MMC is impossible with DP using just a MIDI interface (not a MO...

MIDI Life Crisis, you were right, except it didn't work from a flash drive but it worked from an external USB drive……….hmmmmm!! strange!!!
Could be a permission issue in my Download folder….
Thank you for your help!

Re: Installation Failed on Yosemite!!!!
Mike: Thanks, Just got the laptop yesterday, I want to use DP for a live gig so I decided to install it tonight. The "Installation Failed" yellow triangle comes up right after I input my password. I've repaired the permissions and also reset the Home Folder permissions (even though it's a ...

Installation Failed on Yosemite!!!!
Hello, After using DP8 on my MacPro, I decided to install it on a brand new Macbook Pro with OS 10.10 on it. After downloading the DP 8.07 full setup file from Motu, the installations fails over and over.....!!!! The Macbook Pro is brand new with a SSD drive, could the SSD cause the problem?? or is ...

Re: Anyone slaving another computer to display movie
Hi Brian, Thanks for all your detailed infos, as you can see I dropped DP for 6 months and went back to Logic to do a project. I'm still trying to figure this out and would love to give DP another chance, however I need the ability to do frame by frame to a slaved computer (that has VideoSlave runni...

Re: Firewire video output in DP8?
Files with .dv extention don't play on my system, but Mov files encoded with DV codec play good through FireWire but my CPU gets hit pretty bad. It's funny how, if I output through external, then my CPU is at 40%, as soon as I put it back to internal, then the CPU goes back to 5%. I really hope they...

Re: No MIDI activity on MIDI interface when scrubbing wiper.
Thanks Shooshie, I watched your video but I don't encounter the same problem, maybe because I'm running 8.01. My problem is that I cannot generate sync (MTC to external computer running Logic) by scrubbing the wiper, I may be missing something. I did find a bug though: When I keep the preferences wi...

No MIDI activity on MIDI interface when scrubbing wiper.
I'm still trying to solve my issues about syncing another Mac to DP8 so I can use it to display video. Although I'm getting a good MTC sync, I can't get DP to scrub video on slave computer. After an unsuccessful phone call to MOTU tech support, I realized that DP wouldn't send MIDI to my MIDI interf...

Re: Output MMC from DP to slave computer
Thanks Brian, I did what you told me and I'm over a hardwire MIDI cable, however, what I don't understand is that the manual says to enable MMC in the MIDI Machine Control panel, when I do that, DP8 put itself in slave mode and the transports don't work. I want to make DP the master and host the vid...

Anyone slaving another computer to display movie
Hello, I've been going nuts trying to connect my DP8 MacPro to another Mac running Logic with a movie loaded. I get a real good sync through MTC but I can't figure out how to get the wiper to scrub and send sync while scrubbing, I've read on the manual that this must be done with MMC, however when M...

Output MMC from DP to slave computer
Hello. I've been setting up a slave computer running Logic to play DV videos smoothly (since DP8 is maxing out my CPU when using external video) So far everything syncs up pretty good through MTC (with MIDI interfaces). I'm hitting a wall when it comes to outputting MMC from DP so I can scrub with t...

Re: DP8 Video Handling (or lack of it)
Better than 8.0 here, screen redraws faster, much snappier. However: Won't play .dv files (even though it sees them). .mov files uncoded with dv codec (NTSC DV) are running the CPU at 40% (2008 - 8cores). Then, as soon as the video is switched back to internal, the CPU falls 5%. This is of course on...
