Re: MIDI playback setting for KORG Triton LE in DP

When I record the MIDI part (from my KORG) and go to play it back it doesn't play the sound I recorded it with on the keyboard? Instead it plays some default synth setting. MIDI parts contain no audio. Just the information of what keys you pressed, what strength and other technical data about your ...

Re: Recording an old Record

It sounds like an acetate or lacquer , a one-off cut and not a pressing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acetate_disc They wear out quickly!! Cheers Stephen There. What Stephen said. Instead of definitely damaging or ruining your one-of record, and because on the internet there are always so many answ...

...it looks as if the platter is made of aluminum or some other metal . ... It's probably not advisable to play this with a regular stylus. What you have seems to be a pressing master. I suggest you contact an experienced mastering studio and engineer, someone who works with lathe cutting and who's...

Re: NEW STICKY FOR DRIVER DOWNLOADS!!

Is the system accepting a reinstall over the corrupt installation? If so, do a full install (it should replace the corrupt files) and then, if you wish, do a proper uninstall. After, reinstall again, a "clean" install. Hopefully without crashing. If the system doesn't allow you to reinstal...

Re: Absolute best piano VI?

Great suggestions. They're all better than the one i use. MDA Piano. Free. 1.5 MB Have used it for years and no one ever noticed it isn't a real Piano. I've produced hundreds of albums and have included MDA Piano in dozens of them and, so far, it's "worth every penny". Did it cost 300 buck...

Re: What color is your studio?

White ceilings, light wood walls, dark red floor. No windows but great landscape, being in one of the nicest small towns in Portugal. River to the south, mountain to the north and east, ocean to the west. Just have to open the doors ;) (that would also be a fun thread: what's the view from your stud...

Re: MOTU 24 i/o pcie card resets itself randomly?

What i suggest is not the possibility of a cable problem but the possibility of it being inserted in the wrong terminal.
I once had mine inserted in #4 (instead of #1) and it showed a behaviour similar to yours.

Hope it solves it.

Re: MOTU 24 i/o pcie card resets itself randomly?

Check the connection cable, make sure it is well inserted in both ends and make sure it is connected to the Number 1 slot (from the 4 available) in the PCIe card.

Re: Behringer recording stuff... Advice?

True. I'll tell you what though, if there'd been VIs and indeed amp, guitar and cabinet modelling when I was a youngster, I'd not have "wasted" many years with a DX7, a 4 track cassette unit and a DS-1 distortion pedal. Oh, and I'd not have sounded so... how should I put it... crap? LOL T...

Re: Small, cheap? speakers to reference mix in the real world.

I use a pair of Logitech computer speakers but don't really rely on them as much as i do on a series of different places where i take my Masters to hear. I am a regular visit to some of my friend's houses and to their hi-fi systems. Also, there's a couple of shops where i tend to go and ask them to ...
