AC voltage for MOTU 896HD
Hi, I have a MOTU 896HD that I bought and used in the U.S. for several years, and now I'm moving to France. The manual is confusing about the AC power requirement--it lists two voltages, one for the U.S. and Japan, and another for Europe. Does that mean there are two different models, and you need t...

Symphonic Instrument on Windows 8.1
Hi, I just installed Windows 8.1, and the MSI VST plugin is causing other apps to hang. For example, Sibelius can't seem to load it, though it loads my other VST's without a problem. I can also run the standalone MSI app with no trouble. Has anyone used MSI.dll on Windows 8.1? Maybe it's not compati...

VST version of MSI
Hi all, Does anyone know what version of VST is supported by MSI? I'm trying to use it with a DAW that only supports VST 2.4 and later, and it seems unable to load MSI. But there is no published statement about the VST version of MSI, at least none that I have been able to find. Thanks in advance fo...

Can I use MSI reverb as a DP insert?
I have an audio track that needs reverb, and I'd like to apply the MSI reverb to it as an effect insert. Does anyone know how to do this? Seems like the MSI reverb should work as well for my audio track as for the MSI instrument samples, right? I just don't see any way to route audio into an MSI ins...

Harp chords
Does anyone have a catalog of the chords and patterns in all the harp samples? It is taking me all day to "strum" through them all and figure out what pitches and pattern are being played for each key. :( I tried "Freeze Tracks" on the samples and checking pitch analyzer on the f...

Yes, I had a metronome with a blink function that I used for practicing quiet passages. I never had to follow tempo changes, though for this project I know the tempo, and would only use the light to maintain absolute accuracy. Alternatively, does anyone know of a mono earpiece that doesn't touch or ...

LED metronome?
I'm looking for a way to hook up some kind of LED blinker via USB to the metronome in DP. My project requires that the tempo be specified and controlled within DP--but I would rather see the beat on a blinker than listen to it with headphones. (I'm recording trombone, and headphones are a serious pa...

Thanks midiw for the suggestion. I actually had the framework installed in both places... but removing it from ~/Library/Frameworks doesn't seem to help. This is really a bug in DP. Whatever notification it expects from the OS about new frameworks is not reliable, so they need to find the code that ...

DP can't find LAME framework!
:?: :?: :?: I installed the LAME Framework version 1.0.2 into my /Library/Frameworks folder, but when I choose "Export selected soundbites..." from DP, there is no MP3 option. The path looks just like p.829 in the manual: /Library/Frameworks/LAME.framework/... All the stuff is in there. Re...

Relative mix automation?
Hi all, :) I'm new here, and perhaps my question is really simple. I have an overdub project with one instrument (a trombone) and four microphones. Four melodic parts have been recorded into DP, so with four mics recording each part, that makes a total of 16 tracks. The tracks are grouped by part, s...
