Re: Mavericks to Catalina? ... I chickened out!
Thanks for all the replies, guys. Well ... It's done! 10.9.5 to 10.14.6. And surprisingly, quite painless too. So far so good with DP10 as well, although I haven't really run it through much other than playing back and inserting plug-ins into tracks and so on. I did have to go into the terminal prog...

Mavericks to Catalina? ... I chickened out!
It looks like too much of what I have been using will be lost. The 32 lives plug-in will no longer work. I have 2 Muse Receptors that themselves have some no longer functioning software (outside of them) that I still use. EWQL symphonic orchestra on Kontakt for example. NI B4II and Pro53 (discontinu...

Re: Izotope compatibility with DP 10
Thanks for the quick reply Mike. I did see that post prior to asking my own question. But I noticed that was regarding Ozone 9 elements.
Are you saying you use Ozone 9 advanced with DP 10?

Izotope compatibility with DP 10
Izotope has some pretty hard to resist deals going on for a few more days, especially if you already own some of their stuff. I'm looking into their Music Production Bundle (link below). I've noticed some of their main products, for example Ozone 9 Advanced show no compatibility with DP at all. Othe...

Re: DP8 and Muse Receptor/Uniwire problems
Do you have the same problem if you start DP 8 in 32bit? Try it and see. You nailed this one Mike. It DOES work in 32 bit. So I guess this means I now have to go to the Muse Research support page and coerce them, or guilt them into making their products 64 bit compatible? :mumble: So this leads me ...

DP8 and Muse Receptor/Uniwire problems
Does DP8 still support Uniwire? I'm having no luck interfacing a Muse Receptor with DP8 using Uniwire 1.3 on a new Mac Pro running the latest OS Mavericks. I've never had a problem with this prior to this new machine, a 6 core Mac Pro trash can. I have verified that the Uniwire plug ins are in their...

DP 9?
I'm a little out of the loop here regarding our software life-cycle. Are we due for an upgrade anytime soon? My new Mac Pro has just shipped from Texas. :woohoo: Now the not so fun part. Upgrading everything. Loads of plug-ins :banghead: AND :rtfmmad: My last system was set up with DP 7.1 on a G5, n...

Re: Is there a consensus for optimum DP hard drive systems/f
Thanks for the initial replies guys! Lots to chew on there. It looks like it might be simpler than I imagined. What I take from here is to definitely use Time Machine as the backup solution. I like the Time Capsule as well as the second offsite backup drive concept. I will consider a second SSD driv...

Is there a consensus for optimum DP hard drive systems/file
I am expecting a new 6 core mac pro before the end of the month with 64GB of RAM and one 512GB flash drive. I always assumed I would buy a 4 bay drive rack and use it in a RAID 0 and 1 configuration so that two drives would be acting as one, sharing the track file writing load while the other two wo...
