Re: The 5th Risk

Wow. That was great. I wasn't expecting to hear this! At first it reminded me of Rosenwinkle. Then Dave Douglas. Then the voice came on and I thought of either Julia Dollison or Souza. Very nice writing. Thanks Henry.... I played with Kurt a few times in NY, and I was in Luciana's band for awhile.....

Re: The 5th Risk

Very nice. I headed off the iTunes to buy it, but couldn't see it there (or other usual places) thanks bayswater (and also `cause I'm a fellow Canuck!) It's not on iTunes or anywhere else at the moment, it's going to be properly recorded in the Spring (or whenever travel is possible again!) All of ...

mikehalloran wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 8:47 am Nice! I enjoyed that.

Hard panning the bass and drums was common in the 1960s. It's one of the reasons why the mono and stereo versions of many albums often sounded so different back then.
Thanks Mike!

Re: The 5th Risk

Thanks for the feedback Jon. I appreciate the notes regarding the panning. So may Blue Note records in my formative years likely informed my panning prefs. I don't use headphones enough when I mix, which is a mistake.... Again, thanks for taking the time to check it out! Excellent music, gorgeous to...

Alain!
So funny to see you on here!
We've met a few times.....

ANYHOW.....I have MacPro 3,1 both running VE PRO. I've found that if you do not have the EXACT SAME version of VE on both machines, you can't connect within DP. Make sense?

best.

Old System - New Plugins?

Here is my situation: my rig is quite elderly, but I'd like to get two "new" plugins. I have a UAD-1 card, and like the EMT 140 Plate, but no way that I can still get that, as there is no more support/purchases available for that card (I'm also open to other options). I'd also like to get ...

Re: RE: Mac Pro Help?

THANKS MIKE. Appreciate all the feedback! Got everything off the old drive, then used Time Machine to get the new drive going, then updated the OS. My two CPU's are really clean. Even opening them up over the last 2 days, there is very little dust in there. But since I had them open, blew them out a...

Re: RE: Mac Pro Help?

Thanks Mike and HC. I will look into getting a new Drive. I have do have backups, but this might be the time to start over from scratch. I did test my RAM and it seems fine. I still suspect that there is something amiss w/ this large amount of wired memory right after booting up. Trying to figure ou...

RE: Mac Pro Help?

Hi Motunation. Wow its been a really long time since I've been on here...... In any event, I was doing some basic audio editing in DP, and suddenly things went haywire on me. The machine is incredibly slow, tons of spinning beach balls, just booting up takes forever. What I have tried so far: Repair...
