Re: Best way to use RX7 standard with DP 9.52
Perhaps this will help: Highlight your area you want to send to RX in the main soundbite with the I-beam tool. CMD-Y is used to "split" it into a separate soundbite. But it will still be connected to the original soundbite when edited, so you will need to turn it into it's own individual ...

Re: Best way to use RX7 standard with DP 9.52
After using RX8 regularly in Pro Tools with RX Connect and RX Monitor, I'm trying to use it in DP without Connect/Monitor following the above suggestion. I'd like to send ONLY a snipped portion of an audio waveform I've selected in DP to RX8, is this possible? When I select the snipped part to send...

Re: Best way to use RX7 standard with DP 9.52
While the RX connect doesn't work, you can set up an RX as the external audio editor: Audio Menu/ Use External Waveform Editor Then choose RX as your editor. Select the Soundbite you want to clean up and goto: Audio Menu/ Edit in Waveform Editor (shift+8) Audio opens in the RX standalone app. Do wh...

MOTU Audio Driver Files Location (Mac)
I am looking to reinstall the audio driver for a MOTU 8pre es on my Mac and I want to make sure I remove all related files from my system folders before I do so. I’m not sure where all these files and folders reside in my system, however. Can someone share with me where I can find them? Many thanks.

Re: True Strike
All the Heavyocity stuff is good but to me they all sound very similar...very hyped, ‘cinematic’, trailer type percussion. If you want something like that check out PercX https://www.auddict.com/percx which is very good and on sale. True Strike is quite old now, while I’m sure it still sounds reall...

Track Bounce and Timeline Cursor Questions
Wondering if anyone might have some insight into any of this… 1. When bouncing multiple individual MIDI tracks within DP that are a setup to import back into a sequence, is it possible for the names of those subsequently created audio tracks to import with the exact same name as their corresponding ...

Re: True Strike
No experience with True Strike (sorry). Just don't overlook Damage2. Not a traditional orchestral percussion library, but it might be the most useful and versatile percussion library I have (including SD, CinePerc, NI Symphonic, Hanz Zimmer and more). Truly a next-level instrument. ...lots of taiko...

True Strike
Any ProjectSAM True Strike users in the house? I’m looking to add a percussion library to my DP template - something with orchestral percussion and large taiko drums. The True Strike 1 & 2 demos sound excellent, and I was curious if anyone here has experience with them that they could share in t...

Re: HCMarcus and 8pre-es
Thx for the feedback, Phil. Interesting about your impressions compared to the Grace. How would you characterize those differences between the 8pre-ES and the m201? Do you find any latency advantage connecting the 8pre-ES via TB vs USB beside the number of tracks made available? Makes sense how you...

Re: HCMarcus and 8pre-es
I find the mic pres to be very neutral. No coloration that I can discern. That works for my tracking style. I like to have preamps that don't get in the way and select the microphone for the job. Any time there's a microphone involved, I'll go to my Grace Design 201 first (very accurate pres), but ...

Re: HCMarcus and 8pre-es
Curious to hear any impressions specifically on the quality of the mic pres on the 8pre es. How do they compare, to say, the Apogee Element and Focusrite Clarett series?

Re: Movie audio not extracting
Pretty sure it is a bug. I get the same error, and others have reported it here, too. http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=66878&hilit=movie+window I submitted a TechLink on this one. The key to gaining some functionality back is to open the Movie Track in the Sequence Editor...

Re: Movie audio not extracting
All movies of just one? It sounds like an incompatibility with the movie file format to me. If you have Time 7.6 or earlier, you might re-export and see if that fixes the problem. Are you hearing sound and is there a volume control run the DP movie window? Thanks for you reply, MLC. Multiple movies...

Movie audio not extracting
When option-clicking a movie in DP or clicking its options tab when in the sidebar, instead of getting the options to extract audio from the movie clip, I'm getting an error message - 'Unexpected error (1852797029)'. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Thanks for your input.

Re: Insanely useful Keyboard Maestro Macro
Thanks for posting this. My first attempt to download Safari added an .xml extension for some unknown reason. I did a "Download As..." and it seemed to work. This does seem quite useful. I've gotten used to finding that ruler zone, but they don't make it easy. Thanks for sharing the fruit...
