Yeah it's weird they don't give you the delete button with Garageband Instr. and Apple Loops. Do I smell a MOTU/APPLE marketing scheme perhaps?? Maybe I'm just imagining things. scooter You're imagining things :-). The Garage Band / Logic instruments folders are just automatically detected when the...

You can go back and forth in between the normal sliced loop mode and the keymapped mode to adjust the slices to your liking. You can also ask machfive 2 to create a program with the mapped version where each key will contains a sliced sample so that you can treat each slice as a normal sample (but y...

Sorry to say but you are mistaken. UltraFocus is not an USB sound card but a plugin using the old UVI engine and infrastructure. The sound card that contains the sounds of UtraFocus is name "Synth anthology" and it is compatible with MachFive2 as well as PlugSound Pro and the UVI Player. T...

I'm very interested in using the Spectrasonics sounds in M5v2 - is it possible to edit the sounds at both sample and keygroup level? Do we get to save the edits, or does the .dat file behave like a Plugsound (where editing is disabled)? If editing's restricted, wouldn't there be a lower processor h...

MachFive with PTs has really been a dog. Sorry that's how I feel, I've had it since day one. And the history of M5 has been a joke. Anyone remember when you couldn't see the text in the interface for a half a year? Say what you want about digi, but I doubt you will see Structure sitting still for 2...

Re: Ethno Instrument in Live v6... cross-platform problems
One of the reason why you may have this problem is that it is not possible to go from VST PC to AU Mac. Have you installed the VST of AU version of Ethno on the Mac?
As a workaround you can save the performance before moving the song in between platforms and reload it by hand on the new computer.

Re: Keyswitching: how?
This is the way it is supposed to work, yes. I think I remember the extract utility should have created performances in this sound bank with the keyswitching already programmer for you. I may be mistaken though...

I thought Korg was using the UVI engine for their stuff as well, but they aren't listed at the website. It's a rather short list of clients, really. Maybe MOTU should just buy them :-). Doesn't Spectrasonic's VI's use the UVI engine also ? Apparently quite a few companies rely on them. But only Mac...

Hmmm...but Motu had no problems with Ethno and SI. Same UVI engine. that is what i said. it all just kinda made sense. i just want keyswitching!!!! and good conversions The amazing thing is that MAchFive DOES support key switching from the very begining. Have you had a look at the Expert Mode in th...
